Chicken Smash Burger

Ingredients
  

For Burger Patty
  • 500g Minced chicken
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Oregano optional
  • 4 Tablespoon Breadcrumbs
For Burger Sauce
  • 4 Tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Ketchup
  • 2 Teaspoon Red Chili Sauce
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Mustard Sauce
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Relish/pickled Cucumbers
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black pepper

Method
 

  1. Mix the minced Chicken with Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Onion Powder, Oregano and Breadcrumbs. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes covered airtight.
  2. Toast the Burger Buns on a Pan using bit of oil and Butter till slightly brown and crisp. Brioche or Potato Buns tastes really well but regular buns are also fine. Set them aside.
  3. On same pan, Grease with oil and place the minced chicken balls on the pan and smash using a flat spatula. Grease the spatula with oil so that the chicken dont stick .Cook on Low Heat for 5-6 mins till the edges start browning or crisp. Fry some Onion Rings side by side till they caramelize a bit.
  4. Flip after making it loose with the spatula and place cheese slices on the cooked side. Cook for few more minutes till the cheese melts. Loosen them and place them on another if you make a double patty burger like me.
  5. Assemble using the burger sauce on both the patties, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes and the caramelized onions.

Notes

I used Chicken Breast Mince but a mix of Chicken Thighs and Breast works best. 
Instead of Breadcrumbs, you can use Bread slices crumbled.
