French Toast Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown/white Sugar
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla essence 
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • Pinch of Salt

Method
 

  1. Mix together the Eggs, Milk, Sugar, Vanilla, Cinnamon powder and Salt. Transfer to a Wide Shallow Dish.
  2. I used Brioche Bread but regular Bread also tastes good. Use a Day old Bread to prevent sogginess. If you like crispy toasts, Toast the Bread slices slightly on a Pan before dipping into the Egg Batter.
  3. Heat butter and Oil together in a non stick or cast iron pan. Coat the pan evenly with the butter.
  4. Dip the bread slices one by one turning both sides, shake off excess and gently place on the heated pan. Keep flame on medium to low always to prevent browning fast.
  5. Fry till golden brown for 2-3 mins, flip once brown and cook again for 2-3 mins on medium heat. Cook the Edges if you like a Crispy Crust.
  6. Serve hot drizzled with Honey or Maple Syrup. Optionally Dust with Powdered or fine granulated Sugar.

Notes

Use a day Old Brioche or thick slices of Milk Bread for best taste. Do not Skip the Butter while Pan Toasting them.
