Double Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 113gms | 1/2 Cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 6 Tbsp | 32g dutched cocoa powder
  • 1/2 Cup | 100g White sugar
  • 1/2 Cup | 90g Brown sugar
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Cup | 125g All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chunks/Chips ( I used diary milk treats chunks)

Instructions

  • Mix melted Butter and Dark Cocoa powder till no lumps.
  • Add the White and Brown Sugars. Add Vanilla Essence and a Large Egg. Mix well.
  • Add the All Purpose Flour, Baking Soda and Salt. Skip the Salt if using salted Butter.
  • Fold in the Chocolate Chips or chunks. Refrigerate airtight for 20 minutes. This will help us to get chunky cookies with no spread otherwise they tend to spread out. You can also refrigerate the dough and bake the next day.
  • Scoop out and place them in a tray lined with parchment paper. Top with more chocolate chips or chunks. Bake at 180C or 350F for 10-12 mins.
  • The cookies will come out soft but will harden up as they cool. Do not overbake. Let them cool for atleast 10-15 mins.
