Tender Juicy Chicken Drumsticks pan seared till Golden, simmered in a creamy onion tomato gravy, this simple Chicken curry will leave your lips smacking for more.

Creamy Chicken Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500g Chicken Drumsticks
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 Tablespoon Oil, to pan fry

For Curry

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 Big Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Tomato paste
  • 2 small tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt & Pepper (note that Chicken Stock has added salt)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Cup Chicken stock
  • The Fried Chicken Legs
  • 1/4 Cup Cooking Cream
  • Chopped Coriander to garnish

Instructions

  • Pat Dry the Chicken Drumsticks well after washing. Mix in the salt, black pepper and Paprika. Rest for atleast 15-20 mins.
  • Pan Sear the Drumsticks 4-5 mins per side till Golden. Set them aside.
  • In the same pan, add Butter and Saute chopped onions till slightly golden. Add minced garlic and spices. Add tomato paste and pureed tomatoes. Cook around 8 mins on medium heat till gets bit dry.
  • Add the fried chicken pieces and chicken stock. Cover Cook for 20 mins or till cooked.
  • Add the cooking cream, Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve Hot
