Perfectly Soft Buttery Sponge and so Delicious with perfect balance of sweetness & fat made with equal weight of Eggs, Flour, Sugar and Butter, this Vanilla Sponge Cake is perfect just as a tea cake or sliced into layers to make a Layer Cake.

Perfect Vanilla Sponge Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 Cup | 150g All Purpose FlourΒ 
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon | 6g Baking powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2/3 Cup | 150g Unsalted Butter, at room temperatureΒ 
  • 3/4 Cup | 150g Fine Sugar, powderedΒ 
  • 150g | 3 Large Eggs, at room temp (measure without shells)
  • 1 1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla EssenceΒ 
  • 4 Tablespoon Milk , full fat (at room temp)

Instructions

  • Bake@180C preheated oven in a 7 inch pan 50-55mins or till a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean
