Ingredients
Sugar Syrup
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 2 pods of crushed cardamom
Rabdi
- 1 ltr Milk, full fatΒ
- 48g | 6 Tablespoon Milk powderΒ
- Few Saffron/Kesar Strands mixed with hot milk
- 3 Tablespoon Paneer, crumbled (optional)
- 4 Tablespoons SugarΒ
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cardamom powder
- 2 Tablespoon Chopped nuts
6β7 slices of white bread (edges removed)
3β5 tablespoons Ghee & Oil for pan-frying
Instructions
- Make a Sugar Syrup by heating sugar, water and few cardamom pods. Bring to a Boil and cook on medium heat for 5 mins till gets sticky.
- Cut the Bread slices according to your pan shape and pan fry them till Golden in Ghee or Oil. Dip the fried slices in the sugar syrup immediately and layer them on the dish.
- Make Rabdi by heating milk mixed with milk powder in a wide pan. Keep Stirring till gets reduced to half. Add crushed Paneer, Sugar, Saffron milk and cook till it gets thick. It took total around 20 mins. Keep Heat at lowest and stir continuously. Add Cardamom powder and chopped nuts. Cook for 5 mins more.
- Drizzle the Hot Rabdi over the layered Bread Slices. Garnish with chopped Nuts.
- Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or Overnight.
